 Lots of litz! These huge coils are 1m in diameter and are insulated with perspex. The wire is 10mm thick plastic insulated litz. Inside is a rectangular variometer coil driven by a gear mechanism. The coils are very heavy. Walter, G3JKV, has posted a picture of these coils before they were stripped out. | |
