Belt Buckles

General Service Belt Buckle

This type of Belt Buckle was used for many purposes.
The most noted being by Regimental Police or with Number One Dress with a 2” White Web or Plastic Belt.

Both the illustrated belt buckles use the standard issue collar badge, fixed into place by its own backplate and split pin. The brass version has the pin bent to tighten it within the hole, while the Chrome Plated version has a piece of green felt between the buckle and backplate.

Brass version of buckle with Bi-Metal Collar Badge in place.

The brass belt plate may also have been used with the ‘Kings Crown’ Collar Badge,
but this is not confirmed as it is not known when this style of buckle was first used.

Later Chrome Plated version with Anodised Aluminium Collar Badge in place.

Belt would have been 2½” wide White Leather or Plastic
