Corps Stable Belt

This is a the pre-world war II wide RAOC Stable Belt which continued to be worn till the early 1950’s
At around 4” (10cm) it was wider than the later c1950's version with Leather side fastening straps (worn to the left)

c1950's Corps Stable Belt in Red/Yellow/Red strips.

In 1962 the Corps Stable Belt was again re-designed to 2.5” (6.5cm) wide on the base of an Ordnance Blue background with three narrow Red strips running lengthwise through the belt. The manner of the belts fastening went through three changes in its lifetime. From Leather side fastening straps (believed to be samples only in this colour)  to first a Gilt metal buckle, then a Silvered metal buckle. An ‘Airborne’ Stable Belt was later produced, With a Pegasus buckle with a Black Belt, which was worn by 5 Airborne Brigade.
This was 'tailored' by using the Pegasus Buckle with a RAOC Belt. This was also worn by ex RAOC Para's back in 'Crap Hat' units.

There is also an Army Marine Commando Stable Belt with a Dagger Design along the lines of the Army Trained Commando Badge.
Which was also 'tailored' along the same lines as the Airborne belt above.
