Ordnance Insignia of the British Army
Sponsored Army Cadet Units
Most major UK Regiments and Corps sponsored local ACF units, and the RAOC was no exception. RAOC base depots would have sons of serviceman, depot employees, and local civilians could enrol into RAOC badged companies or platoons often run by the regimental training wing. Some RAOC TA Units also had sponsored ACF units sharing their drill halls.
At some stage a specially designed Cloth Cap badge was designed and produced. This is of note, because no such cloth badge was ever produced for regular RAOC soldiers.
Woven cloth cap badge for RAOC sponsored army cadets.
When wearing the Battle-dress blouses. ACF Cadets would wear the
A.C.F. shoulder flash below the issue R.A.O.C. Title.
As can be seen from this example the ACF flash was produced to
fit.
