British Forces Berlin


First & Second Pattern , Berlin Patches
Since the end of W.W.II Berlin has been occupied by its own British Brigade,
As part of the Occupying Powers, practically between 1961 & 1989 with the Berlin Wall.
During this time the RAOC maintained emergency supplies beyond the daily needs of the garrison

BAOR/Germany
Few arm patches were worn in BAOR in the late 1960's to early 1990's

AMF(L)
Allied Command Europe (Land) Mobile Force
 

The RAOC supplied an AMF(L) Support Company from the beginning of the British Contingent the ACE Mobile Force
In addition a RAOC Stores Section was also provided for the Force REME Workshop


Left - Enamelled Pocket Fob worn in the early 1970's
Centre - At first the only force emblem was a small Union Jack patch on the right arm
Right - Later on a Yellow bordered AMF Flash was also worn.

1991 Golf War

Force Maintenance Area, Saudi Arabia
A multi corps HQ with units made up from the support arms, giving logistical support to the forward area.
A major proportion of the RAOC Field Force was deployed to the Gulf Area. Many to the FMA.

and 102 Logistics Brigade in Germany (White battle axe on Green, facing left)
