1986 RAOC Apprentice Collage Helmet Plate

At the same time as the RAOC Staff Band were issued they were also issued to the Apprentice Collage Corps of Drums.

Sometime after the amalgamation with the RCT Junior Leaders Regiment at Colne nr Bath, the centre backing was changed from Black to Scarlet.
This is how it was worn by RAOC members of the
RCT/RAOC Junior Leaders Regiment till its disbandment in 1992



An eight-pointed star, topmost point displaced by St Edward’s crown, On this a laurel-wreath and within the wreath the Garter.
Below which a scroll reading “Sua Tela Tonanti” In the centre a shield bearing the Ordnance arms.
The shield is white-metal, on a Scarlet
woollen cloth backing.
