Large Cast 1918 Pattern Badge


Left - A quality cast brass 1918 - 1947 pattern corps badge 3½” high x 2½”at its widest point.
Impressed ‘Firmin London’ on the rear, with two screw fixing posts.

It has been suggested that this was a badge for the musician’s music card case.

Right - A Die struck superior version of this badge in Bi-Metal, marked 'Firmin London'
 and was most probably a pouch badge or cross-belt badge.

The RAOC Band was officially formed in 1922. This badge was probably first used sometime between 1922 and the towards the end of the 1930’s

Large cast 1918 - 1947 pattern corps badge 6” high x 5”at its widest point. x ¼" thick.

3 screw lugs to rear, One behind centre of crown and behind  Y of 'Royal' & R of  'Corps'

Use not known, But may have possibly have been a bandstand or notice board badge.
