King Pleasure & The Biscuit Boys

King Pleasure & The Biscuit Boys are a professional full-time six piece band performing jazz, swing and blues.  They have been on the road for nearly two decades, have released nine albums to date, and performed in every European country as well as in Russia, Dubai, Turkey and the USA.  Their high-energy, all-action stage show, combined with the indisputable excellence of the music, have earned them more than 60 TV and 40 radio performances. These have included National Lottery advertising, The Paradise Club series, Blue Peter and five often-repeated episodes of The Teletubbies.  They have toured and performed with B.B. King, Cab Calloway and his Orchestra and the original Blues Brothers Band from the movie, as well as recording with leading Americans including rhythm and blues legend Charles Brown, singer and trombonist star from the movie “Play Misty For Me” Gene “The Mighty Flea” Connors and former California Raisin, the gospel legend Howard McCrary.

Reviews of the bands work has been consistently excellent, including:- “The hardest act to follow since the parting of the Red Sea. A shot of pure and authentic Jazz and Blues from an era when Swing was King” Paul Jones, BBC Radio2. ”To those who say that Swing is a musical form best left to Americans, prepare to be proven wrong.  This British combo is bulletproof” Atomic Magazine, New York City. “Behind the fun and rollicking good times, lies an outfit skilled enough to get the horns to come on with the bite and precision of the Basie band”. The Guardian. King Pleasure & The Biscuit Boys are the genuine article, in full working order, dedicated to shaking you up and swinging you into the middle of next week.  A roaring band sound that comes at you like the Wabush Cannonball.  Resistance is futile.  Surrender to having a good time.” Dave Gelly, The Observer.
