Radyr Court Inn

The Radyr Court was re-launched on April 9th following major refurbishment.

Its new landlord Nitin Patel has transformed the historic public house into a welcoming centre of the Danescourt Community.

The main lounge is now light and airy, perfect for a sociable drink or two. Adjacent is a large dining area, ideal for a lunchtime or early evening bar snack. To the right of the main entrance is the newly extended Sports Bar with large TV screens and projector, great for match days or just general socialising.

Nitin, and co-entrepreneur Mostyn Helland are determined that the Radyr Court will be the first choice for Danescourt residents wanting a pleasant night out - with the added bonus of being able to walk home afterwards.

For the more intellectual residents, Monday and Thursday are Quiz Nights, but if you just want to be entertained, then try the live acts on Friday and Saturday nights.

The extensive menu of bar meals ranges from All Day Breakfast (£3.50), Balti Curry (£4.50) and Veggie Burger (£3.15) to Tuna Salad (£4.50) and Chips topped with BBQ sauce (£1.95). Finish off with a Chocolate Fudge Cake (£2.25) or Hot Treacle Pudding (£1.95). A Lunchtime Roast is also available on Sundays.

Upstairs is the Taj Mahal Restaurant. Previously, the rather tired Function Room was used by clubs and organisations, but now it has been transformed into a welcoming place to dine.

The Chef was headhunted by Nitin from a popular Cardiff restaurant and they have produced a wide-ranging menu of Indian dishes - with a few English dishes for the less adventurous. Diners with special dietary needs are also catered for.

Pre-booking is advisable for weekend dining, as the restaurant’s excellent cuisine is becoming increasingly popular.

The restaurant dishes are also available as takeaways and can be pre-ordered on 02920 554850.

Restaurant Opening times are: Lunch 12 - 2pm (not Friday), Evenings 6 - 11.30pm.
