The Emmanuel Foundation is Lying to us!
And Tony Blair's Government doesn't care

From the King's Academy official prospectus.

“There is a daily Act of Worship for every student at The King’s Academy. On Mondays this is as a whole Academy but on other mornings there is a rota of Assemblies and Tutor Prayers. In whichever setting, four major objectives predominate:
  • To afford the opportunity for all to observe or experience respectful reverence for the person of God.
  • To direct thoughts to God’s nature, His ways and plans and His view of mankind’s place in relationship to Him
  • To consider the claim that Jesus Christ is mankind’s one and only Saviour
  • To allow for a time of prayer and/or prayerful reflection

The key elements of the Act of Worship will operate around the reading of the Bible, the application of the passage to the students’ experience and a prayer, be it audible or silent.”

If this isn’t a faith-oriented and Christian-biased school, then I would ask, in all sincerity, what is?

What chance does a non-Christian (Muslim, Hindu, Sikh, Jew, Humanist, etc.) have in this atmosphere? Is there any wonder that these minority groups are not joining King’s Academy.

While not directly excluding minorities, how can these faiths co-exist in the face of such bias? If this is allowed to continue, it can only buck the argument for more faith-based schools - and in our increasingly secular culture, this can only end in tears.

Integration not division makes for a happy and productive society.
