Hold up – why Hitler didn’t invade? Are they seriously asking children to consider their assertion that divine intervention prevented Hitler’s army from crossing the channel? Where did that lunacy come from?

Hang on, I can imagine the conversation now:

Himmler: “Mein Fuehrer! We are ready to invade England! Our armies are fully armed, our ships at the ready and the Luftwaffe is prepared for flight.”

Hitler: “Not today, Heinrich. I fear those Christian Englanders will have God smite us down.”

Flippant, sure, but what would really stop a brilliant tactician on a lunatic mission to rule the world with his own new order from actually invading? Hitler and his generals were nothing like as dumb as my little parody; although history records they had made a fatal miscalculation.

Invading over land is one matter, but invading an island requires a huge amount of naval and air support: and while Hitler lacked both, the allied forces had them aplenty. Not to mention the thousands who lost their lives in the name of freedom.

Our freedom: yours and mine.

Yet in a single sentence, these extremists want to chuck away reason and deny the historically recorded sacrifice that thousands of these men and women made in the name of freedom and free speech. That these people should be given free rein to teach children is a disgrace.

I am only one man and so affected by this I want to see the Emmanuel Foundation exposed and expunged in the shortest possible time.
