RSOL - The site for both ex

and serving members of the Royal Corps of Signals a medium in which to meet, chat and just share 'war stories..!'

Encouraging to see that members are passing details of the site on to others - I always knew we could communicate!

I hope that you all enjoy the site - any wishes with regard to what you would like to see on it - please email me.

Welcome...!

I have formed RSOL in the hope that it will enable Royal Corps of Signals soldiers worldwide a medium in which to meet and converse using the power of the Internet.  I hope that it will become the 'meeting place' for those who wish to chat, leave messages and generally discuss anything which takes their fancy.

The site was inspired by other sites that I have 'surfed across' whilst exploring the net, some good and some not so - but all aiming to advertise the Corps in one way or another.  Some of these sites are specialist sites, in that they cater for certain trade groups, and are therefore restricted to some Corp members.

As the membership to this site grows - I will be adding to the features, your comments & suggestions are welcome either by e-mail or by visiting the RSOL Message Forum.  I hope that this site will be frequented not only by those member currently serving, but also those that have served - all are welcome.

Rules & Regs...!

As in all things 'ARMY' there needs to be a few 'do's and don'ts' that we must all adhere to in order that the site runs with the minimum of moderation and censorship.

  • Personal Details - are not to be published on the site.  Only names, 'nicknames' and E-Mail addresses will be published herein.  The WebMaster reserves the right edit and censor any entries that he believes may constitute a risk to personal security.

  • Contacting People - Those personnel replying to a contact request should first ask the person that is being sought in order to ascertain that they wish their whereabouts to be known. This is to be done before divulging any details to the requesting person.

  • Tone & Language - Whilst I hope to encourage stimulating and lively debate, unnecessary profane language, used out of context, is unacceptable and will be subject to censorship.  Likewise 'Subject Matter' posted on the message board may also fall foul of the moderator if it is deemed to be of an unacceptable nature.

  • Membership - As I stated before, membership is open to all those that have served, or are currently serving within the Royal Corps of Signals.  Personnel who do not qualify under this criteria, but wish to join, maybe granted membership at the discretion of the WebMaster.

And that's about it for rules! Lets maintain them in order that everybody gets maximum benefit from the site.
