LRFHS Projects 

From March 2001 to March 2007, I was the Projects Coordinator of the Leicestershire & Rutland Family History Society (LRFHS), and I am still involved in helping out with a number of projects for the Society.

During my time in Office we produced CDs of the following indices:-

1851 Census Index for Rutland in October 2001 - 22,000 names

2nd CD of County Burial Indices in February 2002 - a further 150,000 names

to add to the 65,000 on CD 1

1891 Census Index for Rutland in March 2002 over 20,000 names

1891 Census Index for the Borough of Leicester in June 2002 - over 140,000 names

1801 - 1837 Borough of Leicester and the Leicestershire Marriage Index on to CD - completed in June 2002

Provided information for our first Parish Register CD called "The Leicester Project" and produced by the Alma Robertson Tilley Charitable Foundation of the USA - February 2003

Borough of Leicester Marriage Index 1754 - 1800 completed February 2003

1891 Census Index for Leicestershire - over 230,000 names completed in June 2003

Leicestershire & Rutland Poor Law Index - November 2003

1861 Census Index for the whole of Leicestershire including the Borough of Leicester completed June 2004

1861 Census Index for Rutland completed in July 2004

1871 Census Index for Leicestershire - over 270,000 names completed in July 2006

1871 Census Index for Rutland - over 22,000 names completed in July 2006

Rutland Parish Registers completed in September 2006 - 20 parishes

Welford Road Cemetery 1849-1953 over 200,000 entries completed Jan 2007
