Baden-Powell
Challenge Before the girls even start to work towards this Award,
the highest they can achieve as a Guide, they have to have made their
promise, achieved two Guide Challenge Badges and have achieved at least
two Interest Badges. Hayley started Guides the spring of 2000. She successfully completed her 1st and 2nd year Challenge
Badges, her Campers Badge, her Traditions of Guiding Badge, her
Confectioner’s Badge, her Agility Badge and her Hobbies Badge. She also completed several Go-for-Its which involved working
with her patrol. She
participated in several fundraising activities in which 2nd Nuneaton
Guides have been involved, also attending every District event possible. In addition to the work Hayley had already done, she was required to
complete ten clauses of her choice from the BP Challenge badge syllabus. Healthy
lifestyles

encourage in Guides a healthy lifestyle by promoting physical, emotional
and spiritual well-being Global
awareness
- to
increase awareness of global issues and of the Discovery
- to challenge Guides with new experiences and adventures Skills
and relationships
- to develop Guides’ self-confidence and self-worth Celebrating

- to promote in Guides active citzenship and to Hayley planned a “Ready Steady Cook” evening, a
international evening for her patrol, a manicure session for her patrol
and helped developed 2nd Nuneaton Guide’s website, amongst many other
activities. Hayley’s final step in gaining this Award was to go on a
Baden-Powell Challenge weekend which she successfully completed in
September 2004 by going on a canal boat weekend.
