Towards the end of May (2006) FOST advised Gordon that the table had been relocated to the Reading Room of the Naval Historical Branch in Portsmouth. Sensing the possibility of a gathering of former shipmates Gordon suggested that a "function" was in order.

As Gordon had been unwell earlier in the year Lt. Cdr. Derek Maunder took on the task of liaising with Historical Branch. Contact was made with Captain Chris Page and a date was fixed for early November.

And now the hard part. Derek had to make contact with shipmates from the WWll and 1947-49 Commissions and compile the guest list!
