Presentation to the Royal
Marines Museum
Southsea, Sunday 21st April 2002.
Among those present were Lt. Cmd. Stewart Hett of HMS Amethyst and Ron Howell and Roy Bater from HMS Consort. The Association much appreciated that WO1 Andy Bridges, Senior Drum Major Royal Marines, gave of his time as did Lt. Colonel David Storrie RM Retd. who has a unique link with HMS London. Avril Scully was also in attendance. Avril, who's husband Dan was a Royal Marine on the 'London', made a significant contribution to the cost of the Bell Ropes in memory of Dan who sadly passed away last July.
