Peter Dixon
Boy and Ordinary Seaman
HMS London 1947 - 1949.
For about a year now (April 2002) we have been trying to trace a number of Boy Seaman including Kenny Lightowler and Peter Dixon. Association members Taffy Williams and John Dixon were particularly keen to trace as many members from their class at Ganges as possible and finding Kenny and Peter was a major part of that jigsaw. About 6 months ago Kenny contacted me by email from Australia, joined the Association and rekindled old friendships.
Peter proved to be much more elusive until his son Paul found the 'London' website and contacted me. Sadly Paul informed me that his Father Peter had passed away some four years ago. Taffy and John, along with Kenny and the other boys were distressed to hear of Peter death but heartened to learn that Paul wished to become an Associate member of the Association. Paul has kindly loaned the photographs on the following pages which are dedicated to his Father Peter Dixon.
