55th Reunion Weekend,
Coventry, 23rd - 25th April 2004.

Following the decision last year to erect a new Memorial Stone at the National Arboretum the 55th Reunion Weekend was held in Coventry and the Britannia Hotel played host to 79 shipmates, associate members and guests.

Friday evening was the normal mixture of meeting old friends and catching up on all the news over a relaxed meal and a few drinks. This year there were a number of new faces on parade. Harry Wildy, former cook, arrived from Scotland and it was wonderful to meet Peggy Hart and  Elaine Wilson, wife and daughter respectively of Marine Cpl. Bill "Pusser" Hart.

At breakfast on Saturday morning it was clear that a warm sunny day was on the cards. Whilst most of us took the opportunity to view the Cathedral next door to the hotel or the Motor Museum at the end of the road, others opted for the shops or a continuation of Friday evenings activities in the hotel lounge.

7:00 pm and time to assemble for the Reunion Dinner to be served at 7:30 sharp, a busy night beckoned.
