54th Reunion Weekend,
Chatham, 19th - 23rd April 2003.

Chatham Branch, Royal Marine Association.

On  public display in Rochester Cathedral, at the top of the Pilgrims steps, are the two books of Remembrance of the Chatham Branch whilst HMS Kent's ships bell can be found in the entrance to the South Quire. Every Saturday morning at 11 O'Clock the Chatham Branch RMA turn a page of each book in memory of their fallen comrades from the two World Wars. Led by their Vice-Chairman Jim Tuff the Chatham Branch is the only Royal Marine Association to carryout this ceremony. Jim often gets visitors to the Cathedral, both British and from overseas, to turn the pages. Today the HMS London 1947 - 49 Association was to have the honour.
