The 53rd. Anniversary
Reunion Weekend.
Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st. April 2002.
Not knowing of Taffy's wiles Tommy thought he'd got off lightly following the presentation of the HMS Nelson blueprint. However true to form, Tommy along with Andy, were invited to rejoin Taff. From below the dreaded cover two green boxes were extracted. Whilst removing the contents Taff enquired of their knowledge of 'Sippers', 'Gulpers' etc. Like lambs to the slaughter they assured Taffy that they knew of the time honoured, if now defunct, traditions of the daily Tot. With slight of hand a flask was removed from each box and presented to our two Honoured Guests. With great aplomb they were reminded that the Tot had to be downed in one! It has to be said that the Royal Marines were not let down despite the contents being 100% Jamaican white rum.
