AROMATHERAPY

Introduction:

Aromatherapy involves the use of essential oils. Essential oils are extracted from many varieties of plants. They are used in perfume and beauty products. Aromatherapy can help anyone with a busy and stressful lifestyle. Aromatherapy oils are natural essence, extracted from plants. They must be diluted before they are safe to put onto the skin. You can dilute the oils with grape seed oil or sweet almond oil. Lavender oil is exceptional because it is gentle, which means you can use it neat. Lavender is a well known stress reliever.
Aromatherapy has several therapeutic benefits, for beauty, emotional help, certain illnesses and general wellbeing. Essential oils vary in therapeutic qualities. Most are antiseptic, some are effective at fighting viral and fungal infections. Essential oils such as rose, melissa, thyme, tea tree and pine contain anti allergenic, calming and anti inflammatory properties. Add a few drops of your chosen oil to your bath, room vaporiser or on a tissue to inhale frequently.
The aborigines, who first recognised the properties of tea tree oil many years ago, made treatments from the crushed leaves and bathed in the lake surrounded by the tea tree plants. Mandarin oil increases the local blood circulation, which helps tone the skin and improve its texture. It has a gentle, sweet and citrus smell, just like the fresh fruit. Mandarin oil is helpful for oily skin conditions, it also helps prevent stretch marks. Pregnant women often use it.
