Welcome to the
NEWS archive, a place for old news that I don't wanna discard of
just yet. Enjoy :o)
15/11/08:
Just got back from
Kim's Workshop at Houghton Conquest! Had a fabulous time. A nice
range of dances taught/demoed. Kim was trialling something new with
the demo's, those who were demoing a dance would put their name into
a hat and if drawn out would get the opportunity to teach there
dance. I was absolutely shocked but I got pulled out of the hat. So
I taught "Alesha's Boy"
my improver dance to Alesha Dixon's current single (The Boy Does
Nothing). It went down really well and everyone seemd to enjoy and
have fun with it. This was the first time I had seen a mass of
people dance it... this caused us to make a tiny amendment (I
promise this to be the last) to the alt steps in the final section
of four. The easier triple turn was felt to be confusing as it was
going against the flow of the other dances. So it was changed there
and then to a 1/4 turn coaster left. Which flowed and looked 100
times better on the floor. NEW script is now correct on
linedancer and my website only. Correct Version is "FINAL
VERSION 3.0". Thank you to all those loevly
comments and support. Luv BB xx
07/11/08:
Exciting news!! "Alesha's Boy"
my improver dance to Alesha Dixon's current single (The Boy Does
Nothing) is to be published in Dec08/Jan09 BWDA Linedance
Magazine alongside with Kate Sala's intermediate dance to the
same song. This will provide a floorsplit option so both
improvers/intermediate dancers can enjoy dancing to the track. Woo
Hoo! I'm very flattered and humble to those people who are
supporting the dance. Thankyou. Gushing aside; the script for "Can
U Feel Me" is now available. I know that both Teresa & Vera/Nev
& Julie have dances up for release to the track, most likely
intermediate dances. So just like the Alesha song hopefully my
improver dance will provide a nice floorsplit option. BB xx
31/10/08:
Just a quickie, I've added 2
new videos to new dances I've finished to 2 tracks off Anastacia's
new album Heavy Rotation. "Can
U Feel Me" is a 4 wall improver, one of my friends Judi H
requested I write a dance to the song that she could switch off &
dance to (that wasn't to hard!). I really don't know where I get my
reputation for just writing hard dances lol! I can't fit spins in
everything ;) "Heavy
Rotation" is a 2 wall advanced, possibly Newline in vibe,
but funky. Coming soon. BB xx
27/10/08:
The scripts for "Alesha's Boy"
& "fLaSh-DaNcE"
are finally available for your dance consumption. I launched the
dance at Kim Ray's recent event and the response was fantastic :)
Thankyou, BB xx
21/10/08:
A video for my new improver
dance.... "Alesha's Boy" is now available. The script will follow in
the next few days. Simple little dance and test drived it with the
class and they loved it :) The music is to Alesha Dixon's "The Boy
Does Nothing"... of which a clip of the music is available in the
members zone ;) BB xx
09/10/08:
Just a quickie to say
I've written 2 easier dances.... 1 improver to Alesha Dixon's new
song "The Boy Does Nothing" & a low intermediate to Anastacia's "I
Can Feel You". Check this space for their videos/scripts soon! BB x
28/09/08:
Had a fab time @ Alan
& Fiona Haywood's workshop yesterday. Robert Lindsay & Kim Ray as
guest instructors. Robert is a right hoot and I haven't laughed this
much in a long time ;) I was there capturing the whole day on
film and over the next few weeks demos of all the dances will get
uploaded. I demoed 2 dances; and the videos for "I
Only Go... UP!" & "fLaSh-DaNcE"
are now available. Though Alan managed to turn
the lovely title of my dance into something smutty... honestly! lol.
Can't take him anywhere. BB xx
26/09/08:
Just discovered yet another
video of my dance "Toy Soldier" being danced in Singapore. It seems
it was quite a HIT over there :) You can view the demo
here. The
other new dance released this month is "I Only Go...UP! It's a fun
32 count improver dance with a great pop track! BB xx
24/09/08:
Extremely late I have
released the script, music & video to my country linedance; "Wild
Hearts". A fast, fly off the seat of your pants dance that turns
from country rock track to urban funk (with the alt music). 1 new
dances on the horizon for October... "fLaSh-DaNcE"
is a 56 count higher intermediate dance with some unusual steppings
:) If Steve Rutter can get his finger out... we should have our first collab dance ready for Kim's Workshop in October :) Check back soon.
BB xx
10/09/08:
Thankyou so much to all those
who sent birthday wishes and such like on my 30th birthday. I had a
lovely time at all 4 of my parties (yes 4!) lol and can't wait to
shake my 30year old ass on the dancerfloor!
03/08/08:
Kim Ray's Workshop in Milton Keynes
was yesterday and I ache in places I have never ached lol. Neville
Fitzgerald & Julie Harris were the
guest choreographers and boy did they work us hard! All the dances were
quality and I had a fabulous day. I premiered "E=MC²"; my latest
disco linedance... it was a lot of fun demoing it (even if my laces
did come undone for dramatic effect lol) the crowd seemed to enjoy
it. The script, music & video demo are now available. Enjoy!
I never like to sit
still for long and have launched an exciting new part to my
dancesite. The "Members Zone" is now officially open and is kinda
like a VIP pass into BimboBoots. Access to different videos,
exclusive features like member guestbook & links to evaluation music
tracks so you can get an idea of the music. Email me for access to
this VIP section! BB xx
04/07/08:
My latest
dances "Wild Hearts" is an upbeat country (yes you heard
right) & "Nikita" a chacha style & a discolicious
linedance to an Alcazar track will
have be available in the next few months. xx
28/05/08:
I'm starting to catch
up on all the admin and emails since all the workshops :) Have just
uploaded the video demo for
"February Waltz"...
this was premiered along with a demo of "Toy Soldier" at Kim Rays
recent MK Workshop with Viv Scott & Alan Birchall. Both dances
seemed to go down quite well, thanks to all those who emailed nice
things (and also to those who didn't lol). Be back soon xx
24/05/08:
I haven't had anytime yet to
digest the GRROWLER's workshop yet. It went really well and I'll be
adding a full report soon! All music links have been refreshed
with links to legal download/cd stores due to recent contact from
the B.P.I. As some of the music I use is hard to trace because it's
foreign or not available in this country please don't hesitate to
contact me for help :) Kim Rays workshop is today, so lots to do.... until all that comes please find below a picture of Mr
& Mrs Grrowler, Robbie McGowan Hickie & Me.
Luv BB xx
11/05/08:
Today's the day... my
workshop with Robbie McGowan Hickie @ GRROWLER's Sunday Showcase. I
think I've got everything prepared (we'll soon know if I get there
and haven't lol). While trying to relax looking through youtube I
happened to stumble across a new Singapore demo of my dance "Dance
Like There's No Tomorrow" check it out
here.
Workshop report will follow upon my return, wish me luck! Luv BB xx
01/05/08:
Video demos for "Cry
4 U" & "February Waltz" were recorded today before class. "Cry
4 U" has been uploaded, and am currently proof reading the
script for my upcoming waltz. Watch this space! luv BB xx
27/04/08:
Over a whole month without an
update... sorry :( Things are really hectic with preparing for my
workshop advertised above with Robbie McGowan Hickie. I know what
I'm teaching, have the scripts photocopied and chosen outfits! Just
got to hope it goes well on the day :o) Dance wise I have two new
dances about to drop; the first one I'm releasing is "Cry 4 U". It's
a intermediate, 32 count to the funky dance track Cry For You
(You'll Never See Me Again) by September. I know Kate Sala has one
coming out to it soon.... but I wrote it several months ago when I
got the Dancing Shoes album from September... and at least my dance
gives the option of a floor split. A video will follow this week
sometime.
I've also created a news archive
section, I thought the main page needed a tidyup, so old news is in
the archive and this years news on the main page.
Take care, luv BB xx
21/03/08:
A whole month since my last
update... ooops! I have added a link to a group of dancers dancing
"Dance Like There's No Tomorrow" in Asia. Link to the right ------>
Also have just uploaded the script to "PlayBoy" (finally!!) and the
demo video as well. An improver nightclub to Westlife's latest
single, Us Against The World called "Westlife's
World" is now available too! Music downloads have also been added ;o) xx
17/02/08:
Yesterday I had an amazing
time at Kim Ray's Workshop in Milton Keynes. Teresa & Vera were the
guest choreographers and they were so much fun. All the dances were
quality and I had a fabulous day. I premiered
"Dance Like
There's No Tomorrow"; and it seems it was well received overall.
T&V requested the music as they said they'd teach their class it :)
The script, music & video demo are now available. Enjoy! xx
12/02/08:
Since going away on holiday
i'm still struggling to get on top of all my computer stuff lol. 2
new dances "PlayBoy" & "Dance Like There's No Tomorrow" will be
released this coming weekend. "Dance Like There's..." is being
premiered at 2x Crystal Boot Winner Kim Ray's workshop in MK of
which i'm super excited about. Watch this space for the first
glimpse of it ;) Also I have my first workshop booking of 2008 with
Robbie McGowan Hickie at Growlers Sunday Showcase in Hull. Am super
excited. More info to follow soon. x x
19/01/08:
Happy New Year everyone.... a
bit late but better late than never! Dance wise things have been
quiet as the class was broken up for 6 weeks. I had to reteach
myself some of the old dances as I just couldn't remember them lol!
I have a few new dances in the pipeline.... one of my first being a
collaboration with Crystal Boot Nominee "Steve Rutter", it's a latin
track, and working title is "Olé". Second one due to be released
is "Playboy"; a 32 count, 2 wall improver to a fun pop track.
Watch this space! I also added some instruction on how to obtain the
free downloads to the dances (as a few were struggling). x x
20/12/07:
Have finally proof
read/danced "Stripped" & "Lady Of
The Sea"; both these scripts are finally available. Have
re-edited the "Lady Of The Sea" video demo as the audio seemed to be
wayout from the video?!? and added a free download of the music.
Also the video for "Stripped"
is now online. Hope everyone is ready for christmas. I am for once haha. xx
10/12/07:
I have been received nice
comments about Toy Soldier, which is a nice surprise. Winnie Yu (and
her class) can be seen demo-ing the dance
here,
they've also added a rather funky salute in the final section that I
shall be officially adding to the script. Have also made a small
correction to mini-maniac.
05/12/07:
As some of the music I use is
sometimes difficult to find I've started to add some free downloads
for these tracks/dances. Checkout the dances section to find music
for "Tokyo", "Xplosiv" & Mini-Maniac. The script for
"Toy Soldier" and videos for "Tokyo"
and "Lady Of
The Sea" are now available.
23/11/07:
The workshop went okay...
turnout could of been alot better. The social was 10 times more
busier than the workshop :( Those that were there enjoyed a variety
of dances and all were well received. A review of the workshop can
be read
here. "Mini-Maniac" was specially written for the event and seems
to have been a surprise favourite! 24 counts, fun dance, no
tags/restarts. I have provided a "free" link to the music, and am
pleased to announce the video & script are now available. Thank you
to all those who have requested I release it outside of the workshop
:o) Other demos recently released are to two older dances "Eastend
Cha Cha" & "Scarlet.!"
Two new dance demos "Toy
Soldier" ^ "Stripped".
15/11/07:
The workshop is a few days
away and I'm getting super excited! The start the proceedings off
I've wrote an easy, fun 24 count dance especially for the event
called "Mini-Maniac". "10 Miles" will be taught with either "Xplosiv"
or "Headlines" as my 3rd teach. James will be teaching Maggie G's
"Pair Of Hearts" and Steve Mason's "Bleeding Love", and Karen Kaz
Looker will be teaching her hot off the press nightclub, "Another
You". In other news my dance "Uninvited" has been taught in
Singapore :o) and there's a brief right up about me in Novembers
"The Beat" magazine (the New Zealand equivalent of Linedancer!).
10/11/07:
Released several new
videos/scripts for; * "Some
Kinda Rush", "Small
Apology", "Uninvited",
"Gimme More (MK
Demo)", "10
Miles (MK Demo)"
& 2 older videos for "Feelin' Good" & "Latin,
Spice, Baby!"
05/11/07:
It's here!!! My 50th
choreographed linedance.... & what a treat! It's a lovely nightclub
2-step to the Spice Girls comeback single "Headlines."
The track is off their forthcoming greatest hits and is this years
Children In Need single. The track has been released to radio and I
can provide the music for my 50th linedance. Rather sensibly I have
also reordered my dancescripts section to have the most up-2-date
dances at the top and the older ones at the bottom. This will
hopefully save you scrolling with your wheel and save me from
repetitive strain injury claims lol!
27/10/07:
Inspiration is flowing like
there's no tomorrow lol! I've written another 4 dances... A improver
(only listed as intermediate due to 1 tag/1 restart)
nightclub 2step to Timbalands Apologise called "Small Apology", a
funky 2 waller to the
Freemasons latest hit "Uninvited",
a country linedance (yes you heard right) to Keith Urbans "I Told
You So" & a hiphop flava-ed 2 waller to a track off Britney's new
album. Time is scarce at the moment with the
home improvements so any help with demos would be greatly
appreciated. :o)
24/10/07:
Several updates for you; the
"About Me" section has been brought up2date, the Top20 has been lost
and replaced with the old but now updated Diary - which is going to
list events I am teaching at/attending and lots of useful info of my
whereabouts. Fantastic new.... "Xplosiv" is being published in
Novembers B.W.D.A. magazine, I'm so chuffed... that's 2 dances
published to date :o) New dance "Some Kinda Rush" is now
available.

11/10/07:
Thanks to the fabulous
Chris Salter who has proof read 10 Miles & Gimme More for me. These
are finally available! Enjoy!
20/08/07:
"Xplosiv" is receiving great
feedback, with 12 instructors requesting the music to teach it her
in the UK and several abroad too! Please find an energetic video
demonstrating my dance in singapore.

(Singapore Demo Video)"
12/08/07:
Aug 11th, myself &
Linda went to the
Milton Keynes Workshop. Run by Kim Ray and Phil Partridge it
featured guest choreographer Robbie McGowan Hickie and was heaps of
fun. The dances were ALL fantastic!!! With my favs being
Robbie's "Dance
For You" & Kate Sala's "Saturn 5" he taught. Kim Ray also
delivered to lovely dances, with "We
Are One" being stunningly beautiful, and now my favourite
nightclub 2step. Youtube demos were recorded :o) A highlight for me
was seeing 100 or so people dancing "Do Right" in one of the dance
breaks. The Demo slot was MAHOOSIVE with 8 or so performers, I woke
everyone up by demoing "Xplosiv", which was well received.... 40
script packs with all my dances in were snapped up, as were the
complimentary cd's I made with music/videos for my dances. I had an
amazing day and met some lovely people, the best workshop PERIOD!!!

07/08/07:
Tonight I guest taught "Do
Right" at Kim Ray's class in Milton Keynes. It was alot of fun and
such a pleasure to teach them, her class was big and had a variety
of ages. It only took them a staggering 20mins to nail the dance,
and I was chuffed to see not one person sat it out and everyone
seemed to enjoy it.
01/07/07:
"Do Right" has been
published!!! My first published dance can be found in July's edition
of the BWDA magazine. Thankyou to everyone that has supported myself
and the dance!

17/06/07:
Sat 16th demo-ed "Do Right"
at Houghton Conquest Social. Went down a storm! A few people that I
had met for the first time that night had already heard about the
dance and some even had the music! I enjoyed the support of my
trusty dance troupe and thank them for their help :o)
03/06/07:
May
26th, myself and some friends went to the Milton Keynes Workshop.
Demo-ed a current dance of mine; "Do Right". Which went down a
storm! Kim Ray asked me to teach her class my dance, and Andrew
Palmer requested the music and script as well! Then to add the
cherry, I was approached by the BMDA magazine editor asking if they
could publish my dance. Watch this space for further updates :o)
30/12/06:
My
debut dance "Waiting For Your Call" is the highest rated
dance to Madonna's "Hung Up". To date my dance has
received 71 boots, & 15 reviews!
