The Mayan Calendar

Some may have noticed a few references to the Maya and Mayan Calendar on various things round my myspace. Thought I would explain a little of it to those who are interested.

In January I was introduced to the Mayan 13 month Calendar, The Year of the White Wizard, and the Wavespell. Since then I have been trying to grasp the basics and study the ideas and spiritualism behind the idea of the Mayan calendar.

As a fast basic introduction, the Maya calendar is based on 13 months not 12 of the Gregorian Calendar. The 13-moon, 28-day count is a solar/lunar/galactic tool. It is solar because of the 365 days the Earth spins round the sun. Lunar because it flows through the 13 moon (month) cycles of 28 days each. Galactic because the Thirteen Moon calendar is based on the heliacal rising of the great star Sirius on Gregorian 26 as calculated by the Maya in AD692.

The main part I am focusing on is the tones and seals. There are 13 Tones and 20 Solar Seals, the combination of both of these equals an array of 260 separate signatures. I am working with the Wavespell, a 13-day cycle, using it as a means to develop my own spirituality and find ways to overcome obstacles in my life.

Each day I cast a daily code spell made up of the tones and seals. The 20 solar seals and 13 galactic tones inter-weave to form the 260 Kin of the harmonic module. Each Kin has a specific frequency. To discover the code for each day a simple formula is created. The formula consists of 3 keywords for the seals, 3 keywords for the tone, and the power of the guide seal.

Each day I decode this using the symbols and glyphs from the seals and tones that will give a you a launching pad for the day.

 

Each day you read the kin, the tone and the solar seal. Using the information here to decode the information you can work the code of each day.
