My Current Pets

SHISSAR

This is my papillon, Shissar. Nicknamed the rat, she's about 5 years old and still as

scatty as a puppy. Small, dainty, she loves the cat flap, but when it comes to the cats

she's an absolute coward. She loves toys that make a noise, and she really wants my Furbies!

JINX

This is my little sweetheart who is utterly totally devoted to me, Jinx. One of two sisters, she's very demanding

and jealous of me. She hates Shissar being near me on the bed, and often guards the bed to prevent Shissar

from being able to get up. The cushion she is on is the favourite sleeping place of both Jinx and Shissar, so its

often a race to who can get it first.

MINX

This is Minx, otherwise known as Fatty! Sister to Jinx, she is very soft, loving and gentle. Minx is so laid back and

easy going, she can sleep anywhere on anything at any time. She was once sleeping on a brick....

Even though on a strict diet, her weight seems to keep creeping up.

SMUDGE

This is Smudge, the boy of my family. Typical young male, out on the tiles all night, rolls in early hours

and then spends the next hour telling me all about it! Very independent, very vocal and very laid back.

When I got him, he was about six months old and never knew what outside was. Since he discovered the great

outdoors, he's certainly a cat who likes being out in the wilds.

Jinx, Shadow and Smudge

Shadow is my son's cat. Very Christopher dependant and very vocal. When Christopher is out, he tries

to squeeze on my bed. It gets very crowded some days...

PREVIOUS PETS

MISHKA (R.I.P 29th January 2005)

Mishka, well, he was my favorite cat. One of two persian brothers I was given by a work friend.

She had got the pair and her boyfriend turned out to have a severe allergy to them, so a frantic

call one evening found me two more cats to add to the family. We named them Casker and Mishka.

I got Mishka, mum got Casker (thank god!! ) He was a pedigree persian that just wanted to be a mog.

We had constant problems with people trying to steal him as he was so beautiful. I still miss him very much.

BEAUTY

Well yet another rescue animal, I got beauty at the end of her breeding life. One of about 25 Shetland

Sheepdogs at a house, she was finally too old to breed from, and so the breeder wanted rid of her.

All beauty ever wanted was masses and masses of attention, something she had never known until I got

her. The best part of the day for her was bedtime! She lived for that!. My greatest achievement with her

was teaching her to retrieve a ball when it was thrown for her.

SASHA

This is Sasha, yet another rescue cat. She has been the hardest work yet. When she was given to me, you

could not get close to her at all. She was covered in knots which had to be cut off as they were so bad!.

We think she had been beaten with a stick, if she saw anything like that she ran.  It took me 5 years of

patience to get her to trust me and eventually she became most devoted cat you could have. She lived upstairs in my

bedroom, but  towards the end she came down and joined the rest of the family. Just goes to

show, no matter how bad it seems, trust can be gained in the long run, and she was well worth it.
