L&DTEC Socials and Event Programme 2009/10

The meetings are open to members and their guests starting in October these will commence at 7.45 for 8pm on the third Tuesday in the month and will be held, as usual, at the Dewsbury Road Social Club, 393 Dewsbury Road, Leeds 11. (next to QuickFit tyres).

October 20th 2009	The ‘Leeds type’ steam crane – its history and a model. Presented by Richard Gibbon OBE former Chief Engineer of the National Railway Museum.
November 17th 2009	Steam on Indian Railways, Pt 2. Presented by John Holroyd
December 15th 2009	Annual Auction and Buffet
January 19th 2010	Dorset and the Old Warden Collection. Presented by Maurice Craven
February 16th 2010	Showmans Engines and Old Fairground Rides. Presented by Chris Rawlings, Fairground Society
March 16th 2010	Annual General Meeting. Come along and cause a fuss.
April 20th 2010	Sunshine Miners (Open-cast in east Leeds). Presented by P Thompson, Friends of St Aidens Dragline.
May and June 2010	Further private events are being organised for the benefit of members.
August Bank Holiday	The club will be hoping to return to Harewood to assist Harewood House with another rally.
