The Cottage : A
beautifully restored traditional fisherman’s cottage set in the
delightful village of Flamborough, on Yorkshire’s East Coast. The
cottage has been sympathetically renovated in full, whilst retaining
much of its original character, providing guests with all the
comforts of modern living that you would require during your
stay.
The house is fully centrally
heated and has a combi-boiler for constant hot water……..for long,
relaxing soaks in the bath. In addition to this there is a
shower. |

Positioned centrally, No. 7 Dog
& Duck Square is situated close to all the local ammenities.
Across the road is The Seabirds Pub ( great for bar meals ), around
the corner is the Co-op - which remains open until 10pm, the Post
Office and newsagents, and a couple more pubs. We have found the
local villagers extremely friendly and welcoming as are our
neighbours ( and their dog Ziggy and cat Gadget ).
A couple of minutes drive and
you’ll find the beaches, coves and landings of Flamborough,
providing the most magnificent and dramatic views - do please
take care on the high cliff tops, especially if you’re with young
children. |

Living Room :
The living room has been lovingly restored.
We have fully decorated the room, stripped down the original
floorboards, a living gas flame fire has been installed (a log fire
wasn’t possible due to blustery back-winds and their smoky effects);
there’s a big cream family sofa, TV ( with teletext for football
fans ) DVD player with a good selection of films, CD player with a
choice of great sounds and an assortment of novels. Just off the
living room there is a cupboard under the stairs where you’ll
find the ‘hoover’, ironing board, spare bulbs, and a few other
essentials. |

Kitchen : A brand
new kitchen has been fitted, together with an inset stainless steel
gas hob, extractor unit and integrated oven, porcelain sink, solid
beech worktops and a range of good sized cupboards. We have tried to
think of everything you might need to make your stay at No. 7 as
homely as possible and have provided equipment such as a microwave,
washing machine, toaster etc. In fact as this is the very first year
we are renting our holiday cottage, everything is brand new. The
floor has been finished with lovely limestone tiles, all splash
backs have been tiled for ease of cleaning and we have chosen a
neutral colour for the kitchen to make it nice, bright and
airy. |

Dining Room : The
dining area is adjacent to the kitchen and has a chunky wooden table
with chairs for up to six people. |

Bedrooms : No7
Dog & Duck Square has 3 bedrooms. The master room on the top
floor has a king size sleigh bed, chest of drawers and wardrobe,
providing plenty of space to house all your belongings. There’s a
big brass bed in the double room on the first floor along with a
chest of drawers and the third bedroom has bunks for children or
tolerant friends. We have also had a small wardrobe built in this
room, especially for the children.
Bedding and towels are provided
for you, although we would ask you to bring your own bedding for the
cot.
There is also a hairdryer - and
hot water bottles are provided, just incase your feet get chilly on
a night.
