MEMBERSHIP
Membership
Membership of The Airship Association costs £25 annually and
is open to any person interested in
airship technology. This fee is applicable worldwide and can you pay by
credit card at the Airship
Shop. Or you can send your remittance by post, which can be
- a cheque drawn on a United Kingdom bank or
- a sterling postal order or money order or
- an international financial draft drawn in sterling on the London correspondent of any bank anywhere in the world
NB: All the above should be made payable to The Airship Association
- a Western Union money transfers can also be used. Please email the Treasurer (treasurer@airship-association.org) with the details.
For those
in Canada,
USA
and Mexico, US$60 rendered on a cheque
on any
US bank will be acceptable and is free of any further bank-imposed
currency
translation charges.
Members
resident on the European mainland who wish to pay the membership
subscription with a cheque denominated in euros (€) should send a
cheque for €45.
Membership is secured
by
completing and
signing a membership application form (see below) and returning it with
the
appropriate fee. Those electing to use the Airship Shop
credit card subscription service will receive a membership application
form as
an Internet download after completing the payment procedure.
Family
Membership
Family
membership is available to all members of a family resident at a single
address. All members of the family benefit from the reduced price
offerings on books, publications and attendance at meetings and
conventions.
The family
also receives one copy of AIRSHIP - The Journal of the Airship
Association in the post (airmail overseas) every quarter.
The family
membership fee is £40 per year. US dollar cheques for $80 or euro
cheques for €60 are acceptable for family membership.
Reduced Fee Membership
A specially reduced membership fee of £15 is available for United Kingdom residents who are either full-time students or over 65 years of age.
The Benefits of Membership
- All members receive a free copy of AIRSHIP - The Journal of the Airship Association by post. Members who live outside the United Kingdom receive AIRSHIP by air mail at no extra charge.
- Reduced rate or free entry to all functions organised by the Airship Association.
- Access to the members' support service operated by the Council, including advice and information concerning airships supplied by telephone/fax/email/post. Whilst the Council members involved will always strive to fulfil members' requirements, full-time or detailed enquiries can only be undertaken by prior arrangement. Such specialist requirements may involve the levy of appropriate research fees but none are imposed without notice and agreement.
- Free access to other members through the members' mail redirection service. Letters can be sent to the Secretary for onward redirection to any member. The Airship Association does not make the membership list of names and addresses available to any other organisation. Individual members may, of course, specify at any time that they have no objection to their details being made public.
