The Thing
PRIORYTOWN SETTLERS

This game is without doubt
one of the most complicated game that I play, and for that very reason, I think
it has become one of my favourites! It combines all the good aspects of all the
other games, into one hugely impressive format. My only disappointment was
being unable to re-name all my team when I took over! However, I was able to
change the team name. When I took over, the team was called Ski City, but I fancied
a new name. I have recently moved to a new house in a small market town, whose
most historic building is a ruined priory (see photo above). So the name
Priorytown Settlers seemed to be a good choice!
There are three divisions of
ten teams in this game. There are also numerous chances to win a cup or two!
The cost of playing this game
is relatively low. A full season costs a mere £3 plus postage costs! However,
The games master is one of the enlightened few who allow e-mail orders and
indeed, he sends out his magazine, ‘The Thing’, via e-mail too! You do not have
to be on-line to play, but it does speed things up a little, not having to rely
on the postal service. For more information on the game, or to join the waiting
list, contact:

Can we still catch them!
After a few seasons in
the wilderness, we are back! We took a drastic step a few seasons ago where we
sold all the players are started again. The new team is now developing nicely
and we are again competitive. While we are probably not quite ready to
challenge for promotion this season, we should at least be able to battle!
This week we
again had two league games to play as we tried to maintain slim promotion
hopes. The first game was away at Spartans. In truth, they played well and
although we battered away, they held us at arms length. It took a fluke goal as
a shot from range slipped through the goalies grasp and trickled over the line.
Bramham was the lucky scorer. A very welcome stroke of luck! At home against
Pierrots the result was much more clear cut. Goals from Rowland, Cattistock and
Slapbladder secured a fine win.
Spartans 0 - Priorytown Settlers 1.
Priorytown Settlers 3 – Pierrots 0.
Transfer
News. We have signed Ecula from Black Scourge for £650,000. We have also
elevated Kemplah to the main squad.
