Striker

China Owls

Striker is another United based game with it's own twists. Training of players seems to be slightly different to normal United games, and the whole game seems 'bigger', with several leagues involved. I have had to wait a year to play. Wow! That means that the game is stable and that current managers are reliable and still keen to play.

The game plays a season, then has a break over the summer months, not unlike the real football season. This has both advantages and disadvantages!

The league has 4 divisions of 10 teams and also has various Cup competitions.

Season 23

5th July 2008

Mixed!!

Clearly we are not going to be pushing for promotion this season as one major factor is not in our favour….. Lady Luck! The first game this week was away at Rangers FC, and this turned out to be a fairly even game. Both sides had plenty of chances but the difference came in converting those chances. Rangers were much more adept and won at a canter! At home we faced High Wycombe Wanderers in a fiery encounter. The aggression was all on their side as they picked up two yellow cards and three injuries. We had Famennian and Givetian injured, but not before the former gave us the lead. The points were wrapped up when Moscovian scored with 21 minutes left.

Rangers FC 3 - China Owls 0.

China Owls 2 - High Wycombe Wanderers 0.

News to report on the transfer front this week. The injury prone Miocene was sold back to the non league for £240,000.

In the FA Trophy we were in a group of five Dynamo Wharley End, Broxbourne, Melnibone Wanderers and Dublin Illuminati. Following this we went out to Whitewash United.
