Open Management

The Sub-trainians

This is another brand new game for 2004. Open Management is a United based game but with a twist. The basic rules are the same but the GM has introduced some of the better ideas from other games to make this game, in effect, an amalgam of decent games. One of the unique features is that the game information is totally open. The details of all players are known to every manager and also the line-ups of each game so tactics can be deduced. Another feature is a linkman player who is a midfielder. He can be defensive and add his levels to defence like a Roy Keane, or attacking and add levels to the forwards, like Paul Scholes!

The game starts with 16 teams in two divisions, but expansion has added a third division of 8 to make 24 teams in the game.

Season 11

10th October 2009

 Got it wrong!

It is already starting to look like another long hard season, but this week offered a glimpse of hope. Mind you, it was a brief glimpse! We started in the league away at Progressives. Tactically, we got this one right and despite being away from home we looked the better team. The result hinged on the extra effort both teams put in. Both played a similar amount and this kept us ahead, but not by enough to score. Sadly they used one of their extra efforts to secure a single goal and all the points. In the FA Bowl we faced Opening moves and the less said about that game the better!
