Hopscotch!

Boys de Boulogne

No games portfolio would be complete without a team in this game. I am not 100% sure of the history, but most PBM games originate from a United set of rules, and were then adapted or re-written to suit the various games masters. The United game in Hopscotch is probably the most well known United game of them all. Again, not 100% sure yet, but it may even have been the original! Either way, I am honoured to be finally a part of it!

The team I have been allocated is called Boys de Boulogne, and at the time of takeover, are in Division One. However, they are doomed to relegation, so my first season in charge will be in Division three. I was going to re-name the team, but have decided to keep the name, purely for its history within this game.

The game now consists of 3 divisions of 10 teams and is now virtually free to play since it was 'modernised'. If you would like to be placed on the waiting list, or want to find out more details, contact;

Season 21

20^th October 2009

As we entered the last session of season 21 we knew that one win from the two games would probably be enough to claim the championship. The first game was the vital one as we were away at second placed Horsham Juggernauts. It was a close game and had 0-0 written all over it. Indeed as the game went on, it was a case of not making the vital error rather than going for broke. But then a cross from Shagirl drifted over the keeper for a fluke goal. With only 9 minutes left it looked like the winner, but there was time for Vaporate to add another, and with it, take the title! So it was party time for the final home game against Luddites. The teams entered into the spirit ad served up a seven-goal thriller for the fans. Shagirl, Vaporate, Group and Vacuate scored our goals.

News to report on the transfer front. The close season saw a few changes. Leaving the club are Luk Bakinanga, Guy Shagirl and Andre Expuppy. Coming in are Didier Seethat, Phillipe Maglass, Yves Viction and Aimon Target.
