Partick Thistle

As of the start of 2002, I have taken over a team in this game. The old team was called Indiana County, but I have changed the team name to Partick Thistle. I take over at a good point, as the season is over and season 14 is about to begin. My team is in the lower reaches of the second division as I take over.

The game itself is a very stable game, in that the turnover of managers is very low. This is probably due to the quality of the game and its magazine. The rules are fairly complicated but that adds to the game as it allows for much more variation, and therefore more managerial input.

The league is set up with only two divisions of 10 teams, but there are cup competitions to be won as well.

Flying High!

I expected to struggle again this season, but the team is improving quickly and things will get better soon! It is a young side who, once they reach their full potential will be a good side for a good few years.

With promotion secure (for better or worse!) we had our final league game to play this week and another packed house were in the mood to celebate. Southern Knights were our opponents but they provided only token resistance as we finished the season in some style. Goals from Cook, Cosgrove 2, Radzinski and Kimber gave us an easy win.

An odd situation has arisen in the league as the top team, Bangkok Kickers have left the league to join an elite super league. This has meant the Tottenham Hotspur have been promoted to division one with us and a brand new team will be joining the league in division two.

Transfer news this week. More players on the move! The following players have been sold. Campeau joins Worthing Rebels for £920,000 and Sulu joins Lancing United for £800,000. We have signed Cort for a small fee. Twaddle, Flood, McParland and Laughlan join from the youth squad.
