As of the start of 2002, I have taken over a team in this game. The old team was called Indiana County, but I have changed the team name to Partick Thistle. I take over at a good point, as the season is over and season 14 is about to begin. My team is in the lower reaches of the second division as I take over.

The game itself is a very stable game, in that the turnover of managers is very low. This is probably due to the quality of the game and its magazine. The rules are fairly complicated but that adds to the game as it allows for much more variation, and therefore more managerial input.

The league is set up with only two divisions of 10 teams, but there are cup competitions to be won as well.

I expect to struggle again this season, but the team is improving quickly and things will get better soon! It is a young side who, once they reach their full potential will be a good side for a good few years.

We had just the one game to play to complete the season, away at Chelmsford City. It was not a good end to the season although a 1-0 away defeat is not too bad. Our players were tired and jaded, ready for a close season rest and just played out the 90 minutes knowing it all mattered little.

Transfer news this week. The close season was quite busy for us! We shall start with the youth squad! Duffy, Harris and McGlashan joined the main squad and were immediately sold to Southern Knights for £440,000. Hardie also joined the main squad but was retained by the club.
