The IV Horsemen were a lot of things.. apart from comfortable with their nomenclature. The Managers, Banc Managers, MeninBlack, Snapped Vacuum, Soar Norsemen, FOG were all early aliases. In the words of Tuco from the Good the Bad and the Ugly, "it is not wise to go around with just one name."
Their music was also a constant seach for identity. The IV Horsemen shifted through punk (influenced by bands such as The Damned and The Stranglers) through to Rock (Rush, Iron Maiden, Metallica).
The early work of the IV Horsemen centred around the rhythmic spine of Adders providing bass, drums and later keyboards and drum machines. Melodic(!) embellishments were provided by Mike who played lead guitar and also provided vocals on early material. Songwriting was a joint effort.
The IV Horsemen halcyon days were arguably ushered in by the arrival of Paul who took over percussion responsibilities. Adders shifted to bass.
We invite you to be the 4th Horsemen and enjoy these recordings!
