See larger image Here is an orthographic render of the 1 Dot Panel from my model (ie. the viewing angle is perpendicular to the main panel surface). Using Gene Fender's plans produces a tilt of approximately 19 degrees for the main console surfaces.

In this incarnation, the console panels are identified by white dots on both the central raised section and on the main panel surface. This was presumably to allow consistancy in assembly of the prop from scene to scene. Variations do however appear, especially in the orientation of the box at the top of each panel.

These are seemingly randomly positioned with their curved edges either up or down. In the images below the curved edge of the box in this panel is upward, but you can see the box in the neighbouring panel is in the opposite orientation.

The other major change in this panel came in the final episode of the series with the introduction of the 'randomiser' (the box with llights) and the large red knob on the main lever.

I have included some images from an older version of this panel (Pyramids of Mars) for comparison.
