* "Noggin & Natter"
- 3rd Wednesday of every month, from 8pm at The Swan at Swan Green, Lyndhurst in the New Forest. All Singer enthusiasts welcome. Contact John Horne on 01425 658260 for further details.

* "Noggin & Natter" - South West & South Wales area - 2nd Wednesday of each month at 8pm. Our monthly meetings will now be held at The Major’s Retreat. This pub is in the centre of Tormarton village approx 1mile north east of junction 18 of the M4 motorway. The beer is good and the landlord convivial! All members welcome. * "Noggin & Natter" - Sunbeam Rapier Chilterns Area invite you to join them at their meetings from 8pm on the third Monday of each month at the Leather Bottle, Leverstock Green, Hemel Hempstead, Herts. (Turn south off the A414 onto the A4147). All Rootes and Chrysler club members welcome. During the summer ‘away meetings’ are held, so make sure to check with Ron Atherton on 01525 221943, or Jerome Senn on 0208 458 5401 before you set out.

19 July - Alton Bus Rally and Running Day - At Anstey Park, Alton, Hants. For details and Application Form visit www.altonbusrally.org.uk

24-25-26 July - Silverstone Classic - Aiming for 3,500 classic cars on site, with a programme of 22 races and a full day of qualifying. Rock concerts on Friday and Saturday evenings. 2 tickets for the price of one for all Classic Car Club members displaying their cars on the infield - call 0871 231 0849. 29th July - An evening with Sir Stirling Moss at Coventry Transport Museum. The Museum is delighted to host this very special evening with "the greatest driver never to win the World Championship". The event takes place on the Museum's Mezzanine Gallery and includes dinner and a special charity auction in aid of the NSPCC. *1 & 2 August - Odiham Fire Show - Odiham, Hants. A great family day out, with working fire appliances of all ages, classic cars, side shows and stands incl autojumble and the noisiest arena display ever! Contact Mick Paul on 01256 703317 for details and entry form.

*8 August - Vintage Sports Car Club's Saturday Spectacular. Celebrate 75 years of vintage motoring with the VSCC at the Three Counties Showground, Malvern. If you would like to join other Singer Owners on the showground, please call Cyril Verey 01453 873863 or email cyril@cverey.freeserve.co.uk with a contact number and car details. Cyril will collate the information and pass it on the VSCC. You will need to be there by about 8am! Camping facilities are available and can be booked with Sally Duckett on 01608 644777 ext 2. 22-23 August - ASF Granville Rally (Northern France) - Will include visits to the garden of Christian Dior, Villedieu and the Mont St Michel. The Rally will start from Patrick Lemierre’s home at 10.00 am on the 22nd. On the Saturday evening there will be a coach to the Mont St Michel for dinner.   On Sunday 23rd, a scenic drive followed by lunch (grilled meat) at Patrick's home. *12-13 Sept - Beaulieu International Autojumble. Visit us on the ASCO Stand on Green 58.

*4-5-6 Sept - George Singer Celebration - All Singers welcome.
     Thursday 3rd - Informal meet at City Centre Premier Inn for those arriving early
.
     Friday 4th - Singer related activities, including visiting Singer sites, finishing with evening
     dinner at Warwick Road United Reform Church. Guest speaker Lionel Bird will tell us about the      Singer/Football connection.
     Saturday 5th - Participation in Coventry Festival of Transport. As many Singer vehicles      as possible needed to fly the Singer flag in this special year. The Museum has been requested      to ‘Get their Singers out!’ Activities to include a city centre parade, commercial displays put on      by car companies, a family show in Millennium Place, a drive in movie and a Saturday evening      dinner with after dinner speaker Richard Noble.
     Sunday 6th - Participation in Coventry Festival of Transport. Arrangements will involve      two separate fields at the Millennium Park, one for cars participating in a 60 mile run in the      countryside around Coventry and Warwickshire coutryside, whilst the second will contain club      stands, trade stands and general market place.

SW Area Events - In addition to those listed above, the Southwest Singer Owners are planning some ‘Outings’ which will be finalized at their Wednesday meetings. Ideas so far are a trip to Slimbridge Wetland Trust and a visit to Dave Izzard’s Garage at North Common. If you can’t come to the meetings but would like to receive details, let Nick Warren know your email address.

2010. Early Warning for our British Singerfriends from Rudi Arends in Holland: The 7th DSOC Lustrum Rally will take place from Thursday 13th May 2010 to Sunday 16th May 2010. Location will be near Arnhem/Oosterbeek (near the border of Germany), and will include a visit to the battlefields/places of the heroic but unsuccessful attempt by British and Polish airborne troops to secure the Rhine bridges.
