| This is Peter Watts' 1939 Roadster, which he has owned since 1971, pictured here on the banking at Brooklands. He has fully restored it to its present immaculate condition, with the exception of the running boards. This is because the body frame under the doors and rear of the front wings were rotted away, and when he eventually managed to find replacement wings and running boards, they were not exactly the right ones for the car and he was unable to line them up. He promises that one day he will sort it all out, but in the mean time he has trimmed the brackets and painted them to match the car - looks fine in the picture! | ||
