This is Mike Hyman's 1932 Special Nine Sports Two-Seater, which he bought in a seriously depleted condition in 1993 as a retirement project. The car is called Hazel.  Work was completed in 1998, and in July 1999 Hazel won the Concours D'Elegance at the BEN Rally near Ascot.

Mike has traced Hazel's history back to 1965, when she was rescued from a chicken run on a farm in Burbage, Leicestershire, for £15 and then languished 20-odd years in Coventry because the new owner was unable to repair the badly cracked cylinder head and block. She was eventualy "found" outside a barn near Devizes (Wiltshire) with only the chassis and wheels, scuttle, boat-tail and one rear wing remaining. Click HERE for a picture of Hazel as found.
