This is Mark Edwards' lovely old 1925 Singer 10/26 Saloon, previously owned by Barry Paine.  It is a rather special car in that it had one lady owner from 1925 until 1975, when it was purchased by George Jolly who restored it from a rather derelict state to good running condition. It is understood that the original lady owner put fresh flowers in the dashboard vase whenever she went out for a spin. There are several tourer versions of this model surviving, but this is believed to be one of the only two saloons. The 1308cc engine is advanced for it's day, having push rod operated overhead valves and a cross flow cylinder head. Suspension is by quarter elliptics all round and the brakes operate on all four wheels.
