This is Ian Rowthorn's 1931 Junior, which he discovered in 1979 in a corrugated iron shed where it had been laid up on bricks for the previous 28 years. It was in a very advanced stage of deterioration and Ian spent the next 10 years stripping it to its last nut and bolt for a complete restoration.
This picture is of the car on its first outing after restoration for Ian's daughter's wedding in September 1990.
The car had been initially purchased from Ansteys Garage in Maidstone for £150 in April 1931, but nothing more is known of its history until 1948. Ian also has a 1924 Rudge 500cc, 4-valve, 4-speed motor cycle which he restored over the years from 1957.

This picture is of Ian's Rudge "as found".
