A small on-board computer that controls the engines performance characteristics. The programme that a manufacturer installs on a vehicle's ECU effectively defines the performance and driving experience of that vehicle. While this programming provides manufacturers with the flexibility to ensure that their vehicles can meet important emissions legislations, be sold in many different markets, and driven under less than ideal circumstances, this same flexibility inevitably means compromise. Drivers experience this compromise in the form of dull, lacklustre and tiresome performance from their vehicle, often accompanied by poor fuel efficiency. Is it safe?
All Motech Vehicle Performance Applications are specifically designed, developed and tested to prove their suitability. The process and technology we use to reprogram your vehicles ECU is exactly the same that the vehicle manufacturer used to program it in the factory. The Application that we install in your vehicle has been specifically developed for it and takes full account of the manufacturers specifications for both the engine and ancillary components, it will not overstress any part of the engine.

How is the Application installed?
The installation process could not be simpler. The first step is to copy the manufacturers original program, we save this should you wish to return the vehicle to its original specification at a future date. The new application is then uploaded to your vehicles ECU electronically, using the vehicles diagnostic port. Once the installation has been completed you will be asked to take a test-drive with our technician to approve the installation. Typically the whole process is completed within an hour. Following the test-drive, should you for any reason be less than fully satisfied, the technician will remove the application and reinstall the original program leaving your vehicle in its earlier state of tune.
