BMW's now flashed through the Service port (OBD2)
Yes its ture no more old school chip changing for the BMW's now. From a 118D to a X6 they can all be re-mapped through the port. This means the risk for re-mapping these car's is perfectly safe, fast and hidden from the dealer if your car is still under warranty.

Performance VW
Motech Performance remaps a VW Bora (130TDi) for Performance VW Magazine. The car already had performance software installed so they could do a back to back test. He found with Motech on the car is accelerated harder and pulled smoother right across the rev range.
