FULL INDEX
If you want a full list of emulators for almost every piece of hardware going, check out the World of Spectrum. |
There is another reason why the Speccy is brilliant; you can emulate it on practically any machine. From the gigabyte PC to the consoles and resting on the Game Boy Advance and GP32, there's almost nowhere you can't get a Spectrum gaming fix. In fact I've been quite successful in this feat. I've emulated the rubber beermat (no, not the website) on three different hardware platforms (as you can see from the menu on the left). As said, my Speccy is emulated on three different hardware platforms. Being honest, you wouldn't expect that much difference between the programs. After all, a Speccy is a Speccy is a Speccy ? Or is there? Hint: there well may be. Click on the a name of an emulator in the everso slightly familiar-looking menu to get an opinion. The reviews of the emulators are not meant to be technical; they've been written from a general users' perspective. I'm not a programmer and I don't use precise timings when reviewing the emulators. If you're the author of one of the emulators I've reviewed and have any comments, please let me know! I'll be more than happy to hear from you. The Feedback button is at the top of every page. Note: There's a particularly obvious reason why only those particular emulators have been reviewed; they're the only one's I've used. |
