1. Edit> Interface <select MIDI cartridge connected>

2. Edit> Midi Channel <select channel to receive music data>

3. ASL> Compile; follow prompt to exit dialog box. ASL> Run to hear MIDI through default settings. Repeat step after each program change.

4. Scroll around using cursor keys. In 'localInit' paragraph change ADSR values to adjust envelope. Look to change, for example, 'set SIDsaw' to 'set SIDtriangle', using text editor mode and selecting options in Local menu with the SID prefix.

5. Try setting highpass filters, lowpass filters, monophonic mode, ring modulation, etc.

6. SPACE to toggle screen display on/off to reduce noise.

7. File> Save to keep new program on disk. Runstop-Restore to reset program, Run to restart.
