The Baby Room

1:3 ratio (staff to children)


Triangle House has a purpose designed and built baby unit that accommodates 18 babies under 2 years old.

The baby room provides a safe, homely, stimulating environment where babies can be cared for by our professionally qualified high ratio of staff.

The staff provide total care for the babies which includes providing all round development by talking, singing, cuddling and playing, social and emotional development with the aid of good quality toys and more demanding daily tasks such as feeding and changing.


Staff are very patient and recognise each child's individual needs.

 

The Baby Tweenie Room

1:3 ratio (staff to children)


We have a further baby room for 9 children, aged 14 months to two years.

We provide stimulating activities for the children including painting, sticking, malleable activities, sand and water and access to daily outdoor play.

Our staff are dedicated and committed to the care and development of your children.

We operate a key person system where each child will be designated a member of staff who will be responsible for their development files and will be on hand to talk to you each morning and night.

Staff to children ratios in the Baby Tweenie room are one adult to every three babies.

 

 

Tweenies

1:4 ratio (staff to children)


Maximum number of children: 12

Here at Triangle House the 2 - 3 year olds are cared for in small groups.

Your child's day will be carefully planned and all activities are prepared appropriate to cater for each individual child’s interests.

We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage to ensure your child receives the best possible start to their learning in a stimulating and safe environment.

Our aim is to provide the children with a wide range of high quality experiences to enable them to progress and extend their development within a safe, fun, stimulating and challenging environment.

Our ratio for this age group is 1 adult to every 4 children. 

 

Pre-School

1:6 ratio (staff to children)

 

Triangle House recognises that research has shown that children with an hours pre-school work a day in Nursery for a year before entering school at five, consistently out-perform their peers who have had no preschool education. 
We have a full time qualified teacher who works in our pre-school unit. She has also gained early years professional status which means she leads and implements high quality practice in our setting.

 

We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage, which is split into the following sections:

·        Personal, Social and Emotional Development

·        Knowledge and Understanding of the World.

·        Physical Development

·        Creative Development

·        Problem Solving, Numeracy and Reasoning

·        Communication, Language and Literacy

 

 

 


Staffing ratios are one adult to every six children,
which exceeds the government recommended ratio of one adult to every 8 children. .

The children learn
through play. We encourage artistic and creative ideas through free play, such as painting, and also promote good hygiene.
