Meditational yoga

Please book month-by-month in advance for this class.   Class size: between 8 and 14 students.

The overall focus of the class is to help the body and breath become more receptive and to find opportunities
to experience meditation. We shall focus on different themes in different months - I shall always try to respond to your requests and interests. Themes include:

  • pranayama (breath-discipline) - techniques to calm and refine the emotions;

  • relaxation - 'yoga sleep' and asanas (poses);

  • sitting meditation - using different focuses to direct the attention;

  • the art and science of balancing.

This class will not run in April or in August 2007. (The Astanga class continues 51 weeks a year).
