Astanga-inspired dynamic energising yoga

 

6:30pm – 8pm
            

 

In the 6:30 class, I shall introduce the classic Astanga sequences and develop similar dynamic sequences of yoga poses so that all can experience pleasure and benefit of dynamic yoga practice through attending a weekly class. You'll be introduced to some of the kriyas (cleansing processes) as well as the bandhas, dristi (gaze-points) and, of course, pranayama (breath-discipline).

Regular practice of dynamic sequences of yoga poses, such as you'll learn in this class, will increase your strength and body tone. And because the practice is energetic, you tend to build up heat in your body, this burns off bugs and illness and, as the brain produces endorphins, doing this yoga makes you feel cheerful too!

 

Please do not eat for about a couple of hours before coming to class. If you have a yoga mat, please bring it.
