Sounds Underground

Sounds Underground is an inspiring new music project, founded in 2003 to free new music from obscurity and present the works of young composers in lively and innovative ways. It collaborates with composers, performers and creative artists and allows them to realise their visions.

One of the Exuberant Trust's grant-holders is a trustee for Sounds Underground.

The Pavlova Quintet

The Pavlova Quintet was formed in 1999 by a group of Abingdon- and Oxford- based musicians and teachers who share a wish to explore the more unusual and exciting areas of the wind quintet repertoire. They are an Oxfordshire-based group, performing a range of popular classical and light music from baroque to twentieth century. As well as concert performances, The Pavlova Quintet also provide background music of all kinds and are available for all occasions: weddings, parties, corporate functions etc.

The Pavlova Quintet have delighted Exuberant Trust supporters on more than one occasion, by performing in fundraising concerts.

Trio Sospiroso are based in the Newbury/Reading area and are pleased to perform at Music Societies, Festivals and other concerts throughout southern England.

Disclosure

Disclosure are a young rock band who got together in 2005 and are based in Faringdon. The band have played over 70 gigs at a wide range of venues across the UK including 3 festivals. They have won their local Battle of the Bands, reached 2nd & 3rd place in UK national competitions, also reaching the finals of two Swindon competitions. Disclosure write their own material and also play covers. They have recently released their second 3 song CD.

Disclosure performed a spectacular set at the Exuberant Trust's Showcase 2009 (as grant awardees), despite having to perform acoustically, as the venue wouldn't accomodate their usual amplified sound! The Trust would like to wish this dynamic and talented young band continued success in the future.
