Med Sound Studio

Welcome to the new MED SoundStudio site! A special thanks to Andy Nicholas (MadLad Designs)
who, completely out of the blue, emailed me with this design for a new site, stating:
"As the new MED V2 is upon us (yay!) I thought wouldn't it be nice if the website had a bit of a spruse up."
There are still things to be done (some more links to be added), but the important links do work!

It began in 1991...

Snapshots of MED Soundstudio V2 Using Free Plugins

Welcome!

Remember the free Amigatracker called MED and from 1991 the famous award winning commercial version OctaMED?

With the death of the Amiga OctaMED was re-coded/renamed as MED Soundstudio for use on the PC (Windows XP/Windows Vista/Windows 7).

MED Soundstudio is a Stereo Tracker/MIDI Sequencer and offers 64 tracks of audio with MIDI support, sound editing, a massive number of Real time Effects, with VST and ASIO support.

Other than a quality soundcard, MED requires no other additional hardware,(although it can be used to control MIDI/sequencing)

Once you become familar with the myriad of features within MED you will be suprised to learn how flexible the program is.

You can select to save your compositions out as either an MMD file for loading into MED itself or a MIDI file and for those contacts who do not use MED, they can simply play back your MED MMD file via one of the many music players, such as WinAmp, or you can choose to save your music as a standalone self-executing file which only requires the user to click on the saved executable file to hear your work.

If you have a CD burner you can save your files in the .WAV format ready to burn directly to a CD, and now, with the new plugin addition, you can select to save in the very popular MP3 encoded format.

Minimum Setup: W98 with 233-MHz and 128MB RAM is advised.

However, for reliable use, an Intel Pentium 4/Celeron family, AMD K6/Athlon/Duron family, (or compatible dual core processor), with 800-MHz (or better), 128MB RAM, (or higher), running Windows XP or Vista but Windows 7 is highly recommended.
