19/09/04 Lostock Rangers 1 - Bollington United 3
In a very scrappy game, Bolly U13’s continued their winning start to the season, but should have had many more goals, the scoreline not reflecting the dominance of the Bolly team. Jamie Dorsman opened the scoring after a period of sustained pressure but then against the run of play, Lostock scored a breakaway goal to make the score 1-1. Mark Taylor then scored Bolly’s second after some fine work by Jamie D’Agostino. Leading 2-1 at half-time, Bolly made four changes but the second half reflected the first with Bolly dominating play but struggling to make and convert their chances. MOTM Andy Page eventually got the third goal to seal victory with a fine run down the wing and cutting-in to score with a great shot.
26/09/04 Bollington United 4 - New Mills Juniors 3
In a hard game with a lot of fouling and generally poor discipline, Bolly U13 retained their 100% record but almost let it slip in the last 10 minutes. Following goals from Robin Fry, Mark Taylor and a penalty from Alex Sykes, Bolly led 3:0 at half-time. New Mills pulled a goal back before a fine strike from Alex Sykes looked as if the game had been made safe. Two fine saves by the New Mills keeper stopped Bolly increasing their lead further before New Mills came back to score two late goals which led to two minutes off frenetic defending before the final whistle. In future games, Bolly need to concentrate on playing football and not rising to the intimidation from the opposing side.
03/10/04 Richmond Rovers 0 - Bollington United 3
Bollington proved too strong for the home team, an early goal in the first half for Jamie D’Agostino put Bollington in the lead through to half time. Numerous chances were created by Bollington but just lacked the finishing touch which could have easily seen them 6 up at half time. 20 minutes into the second half saw Jamie D’Agostino slip another in the net shortly followed by a great left foot strike by Max Smith.
