The Wood Family appears on my family tree when Harriette Anne Wood (1825-66)
married Charles Jacomb III (1814-1887). I'm afraid I need to do more work on
them, which I shall endeavour to put right shortly.

Born in Cumberland in 1764. Probably the John Wood who was baptised
on 19 October 1764, the son of Joseph and Martha Wood of Wigton,
Cumberland. Educated at Oxford. Clergyman. Vicar of Brenzett, Kent
(1794-1831) and Vicar of Herne (1794-1831). Married
Catherine Benson (1765-1852) the daughter
of the Rev. John and Susannah Benson, at Boxley, Kent on 24th September
1794. Two known children - Catherine Elizabeth Wood
(who was the second wife of Charles Jacomb II) and William John
Wood. John
died on January 1831. |

Born 1796. Married Catherine Eycott
(1798-1887) on 12 August 1823 at Stonehouse, Gloucestershire. Eight children, including Harriette Anne. Died 1854. |
| Harriette Anne Wood (1825-1866) |
Born 1825. Married Charles Jacomb III
(1814-1887), a wool broker. Died 1866 after the birth of her
eleventh child. Mary Blanche was her sixth child. |
